Is it true that brake fluid once opened cannot be stored for a long time?

Brake fluid is hygroscopic and absorbs moisture from the atmosphere. This is not a defect, on the contrary, it is a desired characteristic for the safety of cooling circuits. Hygroscopicity leads to a decay of the boiling point with an increased risk of safety-threatening malfunctions. Moisture absorption is most pronounced in humid environments and for long periods after first opening the package. A maximum of one year is recommended from this time.

I am in a region of Italy where the temperature rarely drops below zero. Can I dilute the cooling fluid as much as possible?

The antifreeze fluid is diluted with water and reduces the freezing point of the resulting mixture. In addition to this, the antifreeze fluid has a protective action against materials. This action gradually weakens as the antifreeze is diluted. For this reason, even in mild climates, it is not advisable to go below 30% dilution if the circuit materials are to be protected.

I read that Ipcochemical AdBlue is synthetic. What advantages are there compared to non-synthetic AdBlue?

AdBlue is a fluid used in the SCR exhaust devices of diesel vehicles. In order to be released for consumption, AdBlue must comply with a strict standard (ISO 22241) that sets strict limits for various characteristics relevant to the best functioning of SCR devices. Among the characteristics examined is the degree of contamination, so as to avoid undesirable substances in the exhaust gas. AdBlue from direct synthesis has wider margins than the limits of the standard, particularly with regard to the presence of contaminants.

Are antifreeze agents only used in engine cooling circuits?

No, they can also be used in fixed plant circuits where protection from low temperatures is required. In particular, for cooling circuits of certain plants, sanitary or ecological aspects are of particular importance. In this respect, the product ECO GREEN FLU FOOD is available, which is suggested for use in food industry circuits, as well as in other types of eco-sensitive systems: industrial cooling systems, solar systems, oenological systems.
